Thomas E. Treacy of Stoneham passed away on December 3, 2009 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was 71 years of age.
Born in Woburn, he was the loving son of the late Margaret A. (Barrett) and William J. Treacy. Thomas was a warm and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be sorely missed.
Thomas graduated from Stoneham High School in 1957 and Merrimack College in 1962. He was an outstanding goalie both in High School and College. He was the Captain of the Hockey and Golf Teams at Merrimack College.
He was an avid and loyal fan of Notre Dame Football.
Thomas was the Co-owner of Anderson-Treacy Real Estate. He was a member of the Marconi Club, Redmond and Bear Hill Golf Club.
Beloved husband of Diane L. (Boudreau) Treacy. Devoted father of Steven Milan of FL, Kristen Pantano of FL, Carol Milan of ME and Patrick Treacy of Stoneham. Son of the late Margaret A. (Barrett) and William J. Treacy. Loving grandfather of Mark Pantano, Jr. Stephen Galuna, Jessica Pantano, Justine Milan, Travis Milan and Luke Bracy. Great grandfather of Jaeliana Pantano. Dear brother of William Treacy, Jr. John Treacy, James Treacy, Winifred McDonough, Maryanna McCarthy and the late Margaret Sacco. He was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Monday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Thomas’ life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Sunday from 4-8 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
