Edmund K. Vandecasteele, Jr., 72, passed away October 18, 2009 at the Halifax Hospital in Daytona, FL.
Edmund was born in Lawrence, a life long resident of Salem, NH. He was retired co-owner of CES Auto of Salem and owner Salem Truck Service. Edmund was a member of the Eagles in New Smyrna Beach, FL.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 54 years, Carol (McDonald) Vandecasteele of Salem, NH, his children, Edmund III and his wife Dawn of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Charles of Salem, NH, Lisa Hopkins and her husband John of Williamsburg, VA, Susan Vandecasteele of Salem, NH, Tammy Kimball of Raymond, NH, and Krista Bergman and her husband Paul, of Salem, NH, a brother, Henry Vandecasteele of Lawrence, a sister Dorothy Smulkowski and her husband Charles of Salem, NH, eleven grandchildren, one great grandson and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS
Friends are invited to memorial calling hours on Thursday, November 5th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Goundrey and Dewhirst Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
