Mrs. Ola Berryhill Etheridge, 99, of Fitzgerald, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at the Fitzgerald Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Friday, December 4, 2009 in the Chapel of Paulk Funeral Home with the Rev. Barry Gordon and the Rev. Dr. Wallace Wheelis officiating. Intermentwill follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Thursday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Etheridge was born June 1, 1910 in Wilcox County to the late Charlie and Docia Sloan Berryhill. She lived in Fitzgerald most of her life and was a former employee of the Cotton Mill. Mrs. Etheridge was a life-long member of Northside Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Donald L. Young of Ocilla; son and daughter-in-law, Allen C. “Jakie” & Patricia Etheridge of Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Allen Etheridge, Stacy Thompson, JoShannon Dixon and Michael Thompson and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother
