Joseph Abate, 85, of Noank, passed away on December 1st at his home.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia; his children Patti Ross, Lin Lugbauer, and Tom Abate; his brother Charlie; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Joe was a communicant of St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church.
His family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Friday from 5-7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church, 69 Groton Long Pt., Rd, Groton on Saturday at 12noon. Interment with presentation of military honors will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Old Mystic.
