Helen Keating Welky, 88, of Harwichport passed away suddenly on November 19, 2009 in Bonita Springs, Florida.
She was the wife of the late Bernard T. Welky who died on May 6, 2009.
Born in Cleveland Ohio, she moved to Framingham, MA in 1948. She retired in 1978 to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Harwichport, MA with her husband Bernie of 66 years.
Helen was an active member and communicant of St. Stephen's Church and St. Bridget's Church of Framingham, MA and Holy Trinity Church in West Harwich, MA.
Survivors include her 3 children, Dr. Lee Welky and his wife Elizabeth of Bonita Springs, Florida, Susan Corey Pompano Beach, Florida and Elizabeth Pappas and her husband Dr. Anthony Pappas of Mattapoisett, MA; 3 grandchildren, Christopher Pappas of New York, NY, George Corey of Portland, Maine and Michael Pappas of Framingham, MA; a niece, Joanne Miller of California.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, November 23, 2009 at St. Leo's Church in Bonita Springs, Florida. Her Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 12:45 p.m. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. Arrangements are with the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, Mattapoisett, MA.
