WAHDINI-PAPAPIETRO, NURIL "DINI," 37, died November 20, 2009 at University of Louisville Hospital.
Burial was conducted on Sunday by the Islamic Community of Elizabethtown in coordination with Owen Funeral Home. A joyful Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Gilda's Club of Louisville, 633 Baxter Ave. All are invited.
Dini was born in Martapura, Kalimantan Indonesia to Anang Arifin and Mariatul Qibtiyah. She graduated from Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang in 1995 with a degree in Law. She married her husband, Daniel, and moved to the United States in 1998. Dini recently worked as a modeling instructor in Louisville.
Dini had a sunny disposition and charmed everyone around her. She was a loving mother, devoted wife, treasured friend and valued neighbor. Dini always had a smile and helping hand for everyone, and knew instinctively what the right thing to do was, and how to do it. Those who knew her continue to love her with all their hearts.
Dini is survived by her husband and daughter, Daniel and Sela Papapietro, of Goshen, KY; parents, Anang Arifin and Mariatul Qibtiyah, of Indonesia; parents-in-law, David and Lucinda Papapietro of Enfield, CT; sister and brother-in-law, Mariatunnisa and Safwani; brother and sister-in-law, Rasyidudin Fadlullah and Eni Intisah of Indonesia; brother, Bagus Rifki Aditya, of Indonesia; nieces, Dita Annisaftia Rizeki and Mahesi Wahyu Naharita of Indonesia; nephew, Anang Shalli Bashori of Indonesia; brother-in-law, Matthew Papapietro of Enfield, CT; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Nathan and Melissa Papapietro of Terryville, CT; nieces Anna and Alyssa Papapietro of Terryville, CT; and many, many friends and other family members.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gilda's Club Louisville (633 Baxter Ave., Louisville, KY 40204) or to The Dini Papapietro Memorial Fund (PO Box 143, Goshen, KY 40026) that will assist with travel expenses to Indonesia to reunite the families.
