Mr. Francis J. Voss of Medford and beloved husband of the late Catherine A. (MacIsaac) Voss, died at his home on Friday morning, November 27, 2009. He was 102 years old.
Born in Arlington Heights on May 1, 1907, he was the beloved son of the late Francis & Katherine (Ferriter) Voss.
He was a graduate of Boston College and BC Law School and had been a notable attorney at 73 Tremont St. Boston for over 50 years as a partner of Gorman, Voss, Brodbine and Gorman. He married his beloved wife on October 13, 1941, in St. Joseph Church in Medford. Francis was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, always putting his family first.
He will be sorely missed by his loving son and daughter-in-law; Francis J. Jr. and his wife Barbara S. Voss, of Andover, daughter; June A. and her husband Arthur F. St. Andre of Southborough and Margaret E. and her husband Arthur F. Brennan of Medford and four grandchildren; Nicole, Marc, Eric and Andrew. Francis was also the brother-in-law of Hugh and Doris MacIsaac , Helen MacIsaac and the late Harold and Mary MacIsaac, Allan MacIsaac and John and Marion Fitzmaurice.
His funeral was from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at 10:00 AM, followed by Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 11:00 AM. Many relatives and friends attended. Visiting hours were held on Monday, November 30, 2009, from 5 to 8 PM. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
