Helen T. Nemeskal-Candelora, 94, passed away at the Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center in Medford on November 25th, 2009. She was born in Chelsea on February 1st, 1915 to her parents Peter and Mary Zinna. Helen was raised and educated in Chelsea. She has been a resident of Malden since 1958. Helen was a homemaker who cared for her family. She is survived by her children, Joseph Nemeskal and his wife Joan of Dedham, Fred Nemeskal of Boston, Carol Heil and her husband James of Saugus, Andrea Nemeskal of Saugus, Paul Nemeskal and his wife Eileen of Danvers, Daniel Nemeskal of Chelsea and Peter Nemeskal of Revere. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Helen was predeceased by her husband Joseph Nemeskal and by her second husband Louis Candelora. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Monday November 30th at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday November 29th from 2-5 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
