TEWKSBURY: Marylin J. (Murray) Kunze, age 77, a Tewksbury resident for 45 years, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Saints Medical Center in Lowell.
She was the beloved wife of Roland "Walter" Kunze, with whom she celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on September 26th.
Born in Arlington on September 17, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Honey) Murray.
Marylin was raised in Winchester, attended Winchester schools and graduated from the former Mary Cliff Academy. Following graduation, she attended Cardinal Cushing College.
Prior to her retirement in 1990, she was employed as a bookkeeper by the Chomerics Company in Woburn, where she worked for 10 years.
Mrs. Kunze was a communicant and a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ladies Sodality at St. William's Church of Tewksbury.
She was a member of the Tewksbury Golden Age Club and Senior Drop-In-Center and the Tewksbury Red Hat Society.
Mrs. Kunze enjoyed many activities especially quilting and traveling with her husband to Europe.
In addition to her husband Walter, she is survived by three children, John A. Kunze and Douglas W. Kunze and his wife Sandra (Spiller) all of Tewksbury and Beverly Kunze and her partner Kathleen McCabe of Roslindale; also many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kunze was pre-deceased by one brother and two sisters.
Calling hours Friday, Nov. 27th, from 4-8 p.m.,(G.A.C. Service at 4:30 p.m.) at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral Saturday, Nov. 28th, at 9 a.m., from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. William's Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Tewksbury Senior Center, 175 Chandler St., Tewksbury, MA 01876
