Boston and the late Sabine Herbert, Marie Paquet, John, Richard, Albert and Raymond Torsney. Cherished grandmother of Jake and Christopher Keaney of Hingham, Michelle and Emily Marder of Lynnfield and Patrick and Suzanne Wilson of Hanover. Dear sister in-law of Ann Greene of Quincy.
Rita was born in Boston and was raised and educated in South Boston graduating from Gate of Heaven High School. Rita was employed by Verizon for many years before retiring in 1993. Rita was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Club. She enjoyed playing bingo and watching all sports on televison. Rita loved taking walks with her girlfriends at Castle Island and traveling with friends. Most of all Rita loved her family and spending time with them when ever she had the chance.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Tuesday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Ann's Church at 10 AM.
Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery,Braintree.
