Obituary

LEO H. FRASER, SR., 84, a Hingham resident for over 50 years, died on Saturday, Nov. 21st, 2009 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was born in Toronto, Canada and spent his early life in Brookline. Mr. Fraser was a United States Marine Corps veteran of both World War II and the Korean Conflict. For 31 years, he served on the Hingham Police Department and retired with the rank of Lieutenant in 1980. Following his police service, he was the manager of the Hingham Yacht Club for 15 years.

He was the husband of the late Anne B. (Goodspeed) Fraser; and father of Bruce A. Fraser and Glenn S. Fraser both of Hingham and Leo H. Fraser, Jr. of Salem, MA. Brother of Mary Pizzelli of Hingham. Grandfather of Max and Sofia Fraser of England. Also survived by his special friend, Elaine Waugh.

A Prayer Service will be conducted on Friday, Nov. 27th at 11 AM at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham. Visiting hours and flowers omitted by request. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory would be appreciated to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
