Lula Mae Barrett Wiggins, 93, of Tifton died Monday, November 23, 2009, at Tift Health Care. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at Omega Church of God. Rev. Nathan Greer and Rev. Ricky Wells will officiate with burial to follow at Omega Cemetery. Dwayne Justice, Clay Wiggins, Kenneth Smith, T. J. Dean, Melvin Griner and Jesse McKinnon will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Wiggins was born on November 11, 1916 in Carrollton and was the daughter of Andy Mitchell Barrett and Louella Stapler Barrett, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Wiggins, who died in 1996; one son; three daughters; two brothers; three sisters; and three grandchildren. She was a farmer and a member of Omega Church of God.
Mrs. Wiggins is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Howard, Jr. and Eileen Wiggins of Silva, North Carolina and Pete and Faye Wiggins of Omega; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sandra and William Saylor of Tifton and Mary Travell Wiggins of Omega; one sister, Myrtle Coker of Franklin; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and eight step great grandchildren.
