Obituary

WEBSTER - Anna Maria (Santagata) Tyck, 82, a devoted mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home with her family on November 19. Her husband, Ernest S. Tyck, passed away in 1990.

She is survived by her loving children: son Russell and daughter Cathy, both of Webster, son James of Dudley and son John Kos of Worcester; by her four adored grandchildren Karen, Heather, Nicole and Joshua; and by many nieces and nephews that reside in Italy.

She was born in Naples, Italy, the oldest daughter of the 21 children of Ludovico and Maria (DeFrancisco) Santagata. She came to this country at age 19 as a war bride and has lived here ever since.

Anna worked as a lead operator at Webster Lens for over 30 years before she retired.

She was an excellent seamstress. She had a passion for cooking and baking; she loved having family and friends fill her home to enjoy all that she cooked. She was a member of Saint Louis Church.

She was a caring mother with an unconditional love that she shared with everyone she knew. She could brighten up a room with her smile and laughter. She treasured the time she had with her children, grandchildren and her beloved friends. She was proud of her Italian heritage and possessed a heart of gold. She will always remain in our hearts.

A memorial Mass will be private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Donations in her name may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 0170l. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster.

Our mother was the most amazing, beautiful, elegant lady
We have ever met and will probably ever meet. She spent her life caring for others; She never put herself before others. She would often go out of her way to reach those in need.
She was also often a counselor when the times called for it.
We knew we could come to her no matter what the reason or circumstance.
We love her with all our hearts and will truly miss her.
