Glenn Terry Nothstein, 55, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, November 19 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, November 22, 2009 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Gay officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the funeral hour on Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Nothstein was born January 31, 1954 in Palmerton, Pennsylvania to Lawrence Andrew and Darlene Kay Balliet Nothstein. He was baptized by the Rev. Arthur Snyder and confirmed by the Rev. George Fetterolf in the Ben Salem United Church of Christ-Reformed in Lehighton, PA. He graduated from Tamaqua Area High School in 1971 and received his diagnostic training from North Schuylkill Vo-Tech in Frackville, PA that same year. Mr. Nothstein lived in the community for the past 14 years coming from New Ringgold, PA. He was the Senior Diagnostic Technician for Harris Press in Cordele. Mr. Nothstein was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is survived by his wife: Cathy Roberts Nothstein of Fitzgerald; children and their spouses: Sheryl Ann (Michael) Miller of Florida, Jamie Lynn Nothstein of Port Carbon, PA, Terri Kathleen Duffy of Tamaqua, PA, Karena Kay Nothstein of Syracuse, New York, Holly Elizabeth (Tony) Ray of Fitzgerald, Jamie (Tracy) Johnson of Spruce Pine, NC, and Matt Fletcher of Statesboro; nine grandchildren; his parents: Lawrence Andrew and Darlene Kay Balliet Nothstein of New Ringgold, PA; brothers and sisters: Karen Kay (Dennis Lamar, Sr.) Fritzinger, Gary L. (Patricia) Nothstein, and Daryl W. (Debra) Nothstein, all of New Ringgold, PA, and Patricia Ann Nothstein of Nevada.
