HOLDEN___Frank J. Juodaitis, 76, of Holden died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 in his home.
He leaves his wife of 49 years, Irene A. (Viktazentis) Juodaitis, three daughters, Johanna Z. Simkus and her husband Arunas of Oxford; Vida M. Juodaitis Strazdis and her husband Lucius of Lunenburg and Diana F. Juodaitis and her husband Robert Pratt of Sterling; five grandchildren, Kristina, John, Ruta, Emilia and Sofija and relatives in Lithuania. He was born in Lithuania, a son of Pranas and Teofile (Nevidauskas) Juodaitis and has lived in Holden for 39 years.
Mr. Juodaitis was a compositor for the Worcester Telegram & Gazette and worked there 40 years before he retired in 1998. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean War. Frank was a member of St. Casimir Church, Worcester, the Lithuanian Charitable Society, Shrewsbury and was a member of the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception Convent Benefactors Committee, Putnam. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, ping pong and his grandchildren. His family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of the VNA Care Network and Hospice for the skilled care given to Frank.
The funeral will be held on Monday, November 23 from DIRSA - MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday, November 22, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.
