Obituary

Worcester- Liborio Aldea, 64, of 16 Ives Street, died Thursday, Sept. 4, in UMass-Memorial Hospital- University Campus.

He leaves his wife of more than 40 years, Monserrate (Jimenez Colon) Aldea; two sons, Luis Aldea and Jose Aldea, both of Worcester; four daughters, Daisey Carrasquillo, Irma Aldea, Norma Aldea, and Maria Gomez, all of Worcester; two brothers, Javier Aldea of New York City, and Heriberto Aldea of Caguas, Puerto Rico; a sister, Marta Aldea of Caguas, Puerto Rico; 17 grandchildren, including Jose Aldea, whom he raised; 3 great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Puerto Rico, son of Juaquin Jimenez Guzman, and moved here in 1974.

He was a painter and carpenter. In Puerto Rico, he was a commercial glazier.

He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church.

The funeral will be held Monday, Sept. 8, from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, in the funeral home.
