Obituary

Salem: Daniel M. Demeule age 89 of Salem, died unexpectedly, Monday, November 16, 2009 at home. He was the son of the late Wilfred E. ‘Babe’ and Lauria M. (Dion) Demeule.

Born and raised in Salem, he was a veteran of World War II having served in Iran with the U.S. Army. For many years Danny ran Robert’s of Wellesley a beauty salon located in Wellesley Hills until his retirement in the early 1970’s. He left hairdressing to enter a new career as a florist when he and his partner bought Norfolk Flower Shop of Quincy.

Following his second retirement, Danny devoted much of his time to gardening. He loved his home and entertaining large gatherings of family and friends. He was a member of Ste. Anne Parish of Salem.

Danny is survived by 2 sisters, Lucille M. Aubert of Salem, Blanche T. Jodoin of Palm Coast, FL, his devoted friend, companion of 50 years, Andre Moreau of Salem, 5 nieces, Andrea Sellers of Swampscott, Marlene Sewall and her husband Gary, Cheryl Guy and her husband Steven all of Salem, Eileen Linehan and her husband John and Joan Raby and her husband Joseph all of Palm Coast, FL. He is also survived by many grandnieces, grandnephews & great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem. Visiting hours, Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
