Obituary

Rose A. Ouellette, 93, formerly of Woonsocket, died Saturday at her home in Port St. Lucie, Florida. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Ouellette, Sr.
Born in St. Guillaume, P.Q., Canada, she was a daughter of the late Ovila and Angelina (Cormier) Paulhus. She came to the United States as a child and resided in Woonsocket until 1970. From 1970 to 1989 she lived with her family in Maryland. She then relocated to Florida where she has resided for the past 20 years.
Mrs. Ouellette worked for several mills in the area, including Finklestien’s and Narragansett Knitting.
Rose was a devoted mother and grandmother. She dedicated herself to caring for her family.
She is survived by four sons, Joseph A. Ouellette, Jr. of Franklin, Richard E. Ouellette of Orlando, FL, Dennis R. Ouellette of Kennesaw, GA, Dr. Bruce R. Ouellette, DDS, of West Palm Beach, FL, a daughter Jeannine M. Anderson of Port St. Lucie, FL., two sisters, Yvette Valiquette of Cumberland, and Jeanne Archambault of Woonsocket. She was the mother of the late Charles J. Ouellette, and sister of the late Marcel and Roger Paulhus and Dolores Giguere. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be Friday at 9:00 am from the Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday from 6-9 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian St. Stuart, FL. 34997.
