PREWITT, MARY KATHERINE (REEDER), 85, of Louisville passed away Wednesday November 11, 2009 with her loving family by her side, at Baptist East Hospital.
Katherine a Baptist by faith, was a devoted wife and homemaker, She lived in the Shively area for 47 years, and recently became a resident of Paradise Island Memory Care Unit at the Masonic Home as planned by her husband Ernie Prewitt.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edd Reeder of Columbia, KY; her beloved husband, and son, Ernie and Larry Prewitt; a brother, Calvin Reeder; and a sister, Faye Bell.
Katherine's greatest pleasure in life was caring for her children, grandchildren and their children.
She is survived by her two sons, Howard Bledsoe (Laurie) and David Prewitt (Tanya); grandchildren, James Lowe, Devin and David Prewitt, Kathy Prewitt, Stacey Puck (Scott), Jenny Condon (Brad), Steven Prewitt (BJ), Shawn Prewitt (Stephanie), Andrea, Dean and Beth; and great-grandchildren, Jaelin, Isabel, Ethan, Cameron, Lily, Nolin, Michael, and Miranda.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be noon-8 p.m. Sunday.
