Obituary

Fall River - Chester Kirker, 80, of Fall River died Thursday, September 4, 2003 at Crawford Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness.

He was born in FallRiver son of the late Charles W. Kirker, Sr. and the late Mary J. (Banville) Kirker was a lifelong resident of the city. He was formerly employed by the City of FallRiver as a maintenance man until his retirement.

Mr. Kirker was a WWII veteranwho served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his step-mother: Elizabeth L. "Betty" Kirker of Fall River; 5 brothers: Edward J. Kirker ofWalpole, John D. Kirker & Joseph D. Kirker both of Fall River, Thomas A. Kirker and David B. Kirker both of California; 4 sisters: Patricia Frantz of Pennsylvania, BarbaraA. Dupuis of Fall River, Phyllis E. Ravenelle of Westport and Jane M. Lauterbach ofFall River; 5 grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. He was father of the late Chester Kirker, Jr. and brother of the late George, Charles W. Jr., Paul, Robert K. and JamesKirker.

Calling hours Sunday 7-9 P.M.

Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday at 10:00 A.M. at the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Road, Westport, MA.

Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
