Jean E. (Hobart) Wagner, a resident of Andover and formerly of Burlington, Massachusetts and New Port Richey, Florida, died on Saturday, November 14, 2009, at the Lawrence General Hospital. She was 87 years old and the beloved wife of the late Roy R. Wagner.
Jean was born in Somerville on April 8, 1922, the daughter of the late Glenn E. and Mabel (Hefter) Hobart. She was employed by Jordan Marsh for many years until her retirement in 1986.
Jean is survived by her loving children, Jill and her husband John Papadonis of Lowell, Ruth and her husband Frank Bellistri of Andover, David Wagner of Waltham and Beverly and her husband Jared Boyd of Manchester, New Hampshire, grandchildren, Jeffrey and Rebecca Bellistri of Exeter, New Hampshire, Andrew Bellistri of Andover and Nicholas and Christy Sasso of Manchester, New Hampshire and one great-grandson, Domenic Bellistri of Exeter, New Hampshire. She was also the sister of Mabel Santosuosso of Stoneham and William Hobart of California. Jean is also survived by many nieces and Nephews and was the sister of the late Florence Hobart, Glenn Hobart, Dorothy King, Phyllis D’Alessandro, Ruth Duckworth, Robert Hobart and Richard Hobart.
Her funeral service was celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully attended. Calling hours were Monday, November 16, 2009, from 4 to 8 PM. Burial was in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations in Jean’s memory may be made to the Andover Senior Center, P.O.
