TEWKSBURY - Dorothy O. (Koziel) McNeil, age 60, died Monday, Sept. 1, at the Blairehousein Tewksbury, after a brief illness. She was the wife of Gerald F. McNeil, with whom she hadcelebrated a 40th wedding anniversary this past May 4th.
She was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, July 23, 1943, the daughter of the Albert Koziel ofCape Breton, and the late Mary (Horchuck) Koziel. She was raised in Nova Scotia and emigratedto the Boston area 35 years ago.
She was employed as a secretary/office manager for McCabe Moving and Storage Company inTewksbury, and in her earlier years was an employee of Calvert’s Department Store inTewksbury.
She was a communicant of St. William’s Church.
Besides her husband and father, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Dale and ShawnRodgers of Pelham, NH; two brothers, Wayne and his wife Martina King of Nova Scotia, CharlesDavid LeBlanc of Carichat, Cape Breton, her father and mother-in-law, James and Ella McNeil ofReserve Mines, N.S. Canada; three grandchildren, Bryan, Brittany and Tyler Rodgers; a specialcousin, Anne Horchuck of Nova Scotia; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces andnephews.
She was also mother of the late Gerald Kenneth McNeil, special niece of the late SophieHorchuck, and sister of the late John Koziel.
Her funeral is Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 10:00 a.m. in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main st. (Rte 38) Tewksbury. Visiting hours Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, No. Tewksbury.
