Obituary

Salem: Dorothy M. Arrington, age 92 of Salem, died Friday in her home following a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late George W. and Alma M. (Couture) Arrington.

Born and raised in Salem, Dorothy first worked for Sylvania at the Boston Street plant in Salem and for the next 35 years worked at the Sylvan Street plant in Danvers for a total of 40 years with Sylvania.

Dorothy was a member of the Sylvania Quarter Century Club and a former member of the former St. Joseph Parish of Salem. She was a quiet, private woman who was happiest when she was caring for her family, working at Sylvania and enjoying activities at home.

She is survived by her brother, Frank J. Arrington and his wife Juanita of Arapahoe, NC, 2 granddaughters, Christie M. Arrington of Salem and Patricia L. Arrington and her husband David Nathanson of Salem, a great-grandson, Gabriel D. Arrington, and 2 nephews, Thomas and Kenneth Thibault.

Dorothy was predeceased by a sister, Doris Thibault and a brother George Arrington, as well as many good friends and neighbors.
