Sophia ”Sue Logos” Korologos, 82 years old, a life long resident of Lowell, died Thursday at Saints Medical Center.
Born in Lowell on August 20, 1927, she was a daughter of the late George and Efrosini Korologos and was educated in the Lowell schools. She was the wife of the late Alfred Anselmo who died in 1976.
As a young girl she worked in various mills in Lowell. From the training she received there she later worked in the Garment District in Boston. In her later years she worked as a Home Health Aide for Nurse’s Health Care in Chelmsford. Mrs. Korologos enjoyed daily strolls in Downtown Lowell meeting friends and particularly enjoyed the beach. She was a longtime member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell.
She is survived by a sister, Jennie (Korologos) Soseos of Lowell and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
KOROLOGOS- Relatives and friends are asked to gather for her Funeral Service on Monday Nov. 16th at 10 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 44 Princeton Blvd. Lowell. There will be no procession from the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Church. Arrangements are by the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 NESMITH STREET, LOWELL.
