MAGNOLIA: Stanley G. Newman, 68, of Edmonds Way died Thursday morning, November 12, 2009 in the Golden Living Center following a brief illness.
Born in Gloucester on September 3, 1941, he was the son of Virginia E. (Dennis) Hart and the late R. Stanley Newman. He was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and had attended Gloucester public schools.
Stan was a self-employed carpenter and at one time was employed by Abdo Construction.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Jennifer L. Newman, a granddaughter, Jamie L. Donnelly, his sister, Gina Hart, a brother, Wayne Hart and his former spouse, Janet L. (Jacobs) Stopyra and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his son, Shawn P. Newman and brother, Ralph Newman.
In keeping with his wishes, services will be held privately. Condolences may be made to the family at 4 Edmonds Way, Gloucester.
