Grandfather of Neil, Eric and Kyle Morrison of Taunton, Jimmy and Steve Cataldo of Attleboro and Emily Morrison of Brockton.
Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 11am. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45pm. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-6pm. Donations in Richie’s memory may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 14 Page Terrace, Stoughton, MA 02072.
Obituary Information
Mr. Morrison died Thursday morning at Sachem Skilled Nursing Center, East Bridgewater after a brief illness. Born in Brockton, a son of the late Harold F. and Lillian (Riberdy) Morrison. He was a life long resident of Brockton and attended Brockton schools. During the Korean Conflict he served in the US Army and while in Korea he was fortunate enough to see Marilyn Monroe in a USO show. For many years he was employed by Paramount Rug in Brockton. He enjoyed gardening, was a football fanatic and loved Brockton High School football, Notre Dame and the NY Giants.
He is survived by his three sons Richard H. “Rick” Morrison of Taunton, Gary Morrison and David Morrison both of Brockton and one daughter Karen Cataldo of Attleboro, six grandchildren, one brother Harold Morrison of Plymouth, one sister Muriel Reed of Brockton, several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Gerald Morrison
