Irene E. (DiPietro) Ames, 61, of Hudson, died on Thursday, November 12th at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.
Irene was born in Marlboro, daughter of Anthony and Irene (Correa) DiPietro of Hudson and was a lifelong resident of Hudson. She owned and operated the Irene’s Corner Cut Salon in Hudson for many years. She was a graduate of Hudson Catholic High School, class of 1965 and was a member of the Book Club at the Hudson Public Library.
Besides her parents, Irene is survived by her two children, Christine Seymour and Jeffrey Ames, both of Hudson; her three brothers, Anthony DiPietro of Buffalo, NY, Paul and John DiPietro, both of Hudson and her five grandchildren, Kellie, Billie, Michael, Maya and Aidan. She also leaves her former husband, Herbert Ames of Florida and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 21st at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 20th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
