82 passed away in his home. He was the husband of Lorraine (Bolduc) Ferneza with whom he shared sixty one years of marriage.
Born in Dunkirk, New York in 1927, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Piancek) Ferneza. Frank was raised and educated in New York and moved to Peabody in 1959. Frank and his wife opened their home to many Foster children for over thirty years. Frank was employed as an electrician for over thirty years at General Electric prior to retirement. He served his country with the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean War and was honorably discharged.
Besides his wife Lorraine, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Blaine and Diane Ferneza of Peabody, four daughters and sons-in-law, Lorraine and David Roman of Bridgewater, Debra and Frank Baldini of Groveland, Jodi and Michael Finney of Beverly and Dawn and Damon Butts of Maine, a sister Katherine Lehnan of NY, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
His funeral service will be private at the request of the family. Arrangements are made by C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made in Frank’s name to Beacon Hospice 529 Main Street, Ste 101, Charlestown, MA 02129.
