Obituary

Jeanette M. (Kempa) Konarski passed away peacefully November 8, 2009.at Epcoh Senior Healthcare of Sharon. Jeanette celebrated her 103rd Birthday on July 17th. Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, after graduating High School she attended Buffalo State Teachers College. Jean worked as a civilian employee of U.S. Army Air Force during WWII. Her job took her to Tuscon, AZ where she inspected airplanes at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. She returned home to her family in Western New York at the end of the war, and was employed by the Department of Social Services. She worked as the bookkeeper/account for the International Filler Corporation until her retirement in 1979 at the age of 73. She moved with husband and daughter to Stoughton in 1986. Beloved wife of the late Eugene T. Loving mother of J. Daneene Pate & her husband Tony of Canton. Sister of Walter Kempa, Kaye Hebert and Irene Elwell. Also survived by her granddaughters Sheryl Peebles & her husband Tom of Stoughton & Dawn Hanlon and her husband Dennis of Canton and her cherished great-grandchildren Cristina Peebles, Ryan Hanlon and Kyle Hanlon. Friends and relatives invited to attend visiting hours in the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Wed (4-8). Funeral mass Thursday morning at 10:30 St. John the Evangelist Church Canton. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery Canton.
