Obituary

Amelia (Beattie) Thifault 86, of St. Joseph St. Woonsocket, died Sunday at Mt. St Francis Health Center. She was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late John and Sophie (Zielinski) Beattie. Mrs. Thifault was an assembler for the former Uni Royal Co. for twenty six years, she also worked at Crest Manufacturing, before retiring in 1999.

She is survived by two sisters, Sr. Lillian Beattie PBVM of Leominster, MA, and Dorothy Roberts of Woonsocket, a half brother John Beattie of Bellingham. She was also the sister of the late Edward Beattie and Esther Savard, several nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Church, South Main St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone. Visiting hours are Tuesday 3-6 PM.
