Faith A. (Mendes) Williams, 60, of St. Cloud, FL died November 8, 2009 after a brief illness.
She was the wife of Dennis J. Williams.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Frank and Beatrice (Gonsalves) Mendes, she lived in the Greater New Bedford area most of her life before moving to St. Cloud, FL in 2001.
Faith was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in New Bedford and St. Cloud.
Beloved by all who knew her, Faith was a loving mother, caring spouse, and loyal friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, cooking, shopping, traveling, reading, and exercising.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Kevin Williams and his wife Elizabeth of Wareham; 2 daughters, Denise Williams and her husband Roger Andrews of New Bedford and Valerie Williams and her husband Dempsey Faulkner of Waterville, ME; 5 brothers, Robert Mendes, Ronald Mendes, Dennis Mendes and Stephen Mendes, all of New Bedford and Frank Mendes, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; 2 sisters, Janice Mendes and Lynette Mendes, both of New Bedford; 4 grandchildren, Kelsie, Kevin, Vivi and Maxwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 14th at 9 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday, November 13th from 5-9 PM.
A Memorial Service will be held in St. Cloud, FL on Saturday, November 21st at 1:30 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 3383 Canoe Creek Road (phone 407-892-0803).
