Obituary

Danvers: Constance J. (Cole) Arsenault age 74 of Danvers, died Friday evening at the Essex Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Beverly, following a long illness.

Born in Beverly and raised in Danvers, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Emma (MacElmon) Leighton. A resident of Salem for many years she was devoted to her children and, during their younger years, she was also a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. Later in life Connie returned to school and graduated from Essex Agricultural School with her license in nursing. She first worked at Salem Hospital in emergency services, and later for Devereux House in Marblehead and Annemark Nursing Home in Revere. She retired from Annemark in 2000 for reasons of failing health.

She was a former member of the former St. Joseph Parish of Salem and was a collector of Anna Lee Dolls.

She is survived by 2 sons, Robert K. Arsenault and his wife Cheryl of S. Hamilton, Marc E. Arsenault and his wife Susan of Salem, a daughter, Donna M Corneau and her husband Vinnie of Salem, 8 grandchildren, Kendra, Robert Jr., Garrett, Tamara, Tabatha, Jessica, Tianna & Tayla and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her long time friend and companion, Harry Dawes of Lynn. She was predeceased by her son, William J. ‘Skip’ Arsenault, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem with her funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
