Mr. Roland J. Talbot of Lawrence and beloved husband of Rita (Gauvin) Talbot, died at the Lawrence General Hospital on Tuesday, November 3, 2009. He was 95 years old.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on May 6, 1914, he was the beloved son of the late Jules and Lila (Oliver) Talbot. Mr. Talbot was a general carpenter in the local area for many years and built his own home in Lawrence. In his spare time, Roland enjoyed golfing and bowling. He was also an avid gardener, especially around his Lawrence home.
Besides his beloved wife, Rita, Roland will be missed by his loving son; Mark R. Talbot of Lawrence. A Memorial Service was celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, on Monday, November 9, 2009, at 1 PM. Many relatives and friends were in attendance.
