Jane I. (Cullen) Fennelly, a lifelong resident of Wakefield, died on Friday, November 6, 2009 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose following an extended illness. She was 71 years old.
Jane was born in Medford on April 11, 1938. She grew up in Wakefield and attended the Greenwood Elementary School and graduated from Wakefield High School. Jane worked for The Nevlin Corporation in Wakefield as a secretary/bookkeeper for 11 years, The Gemini Corporation in Wakefield as a secretary/bookkeeper for 14 years and retired as a secretary/bookkeeper at Admiral Dry Wall Company in Billerica after 21 years of employment. She enjoyed knitting and spending quality time with her grandchildren.
Jane is the devoted mother of Arthur R. Fennelly Jr. and his wife Susan of Wakefield, Paul E. Fennelly and his wife Nancy of Wakefield and James W. Fennelly of Wakefield. She is the loving Nonnie to Jimmy, Arthur, Michael, Lauren, Mikayla, Nicole and Derek. She is the beloved sister of the late Margaret Power, Edith Fahey, William, Edward J. Jr., Charles and Joseph Cullen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Jane's Funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main Street, Wakefield/Melrose line, followed by her Funeral Mass in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main Street, Wakefield, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be private.
