Dale Thomas Keller, 64, of Tifton died Saturday, November 7, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Mike Hobbs will officiate with burial to follow in Zion Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Daryl Crossgrove, Jamie Goddard, Michael Moorman, D. J. Schneider, Ronnie Dillard and Ricky Dillard will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Adrian Salter, Jimmy Henderson and Jimmy Lott. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 9, 2009, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Keller was born on August 27, 1945 in Beloit, Wisconsin and was the son of Vonnie Wright and Imogene Wright, both deceased. He worked as a customer service assicuate at Lowe’s for five years and served in the United States Navy for six years. He had devoted his life to God, his family and helping others. He was a good man and will be missed by many. He was a member of New Covenant Church. He had lived in Tifton for 35 years.
Mr. Keller is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Vonnie Roy and Leanna Keller of Tifton; one daughter, Wendy Ward of Tifton; life-long friend, Vera Stephens-Carter; three brothers, Herman I. Wright of Alabama, Adrian Salter of Tifton and Edward Salter of Tifton; three sisters, Wanda Paul of Mobile, Alabama, Patricia Luke of Tifton and Martha E. Summerall of Tifton; five grandchildren, Arial Ward, Amber Ward, Angel Ward, Alex Keller and Carrie Keller, all of Tifton; and one great grandchild, Adela Garces of Tifton.
