Maria Helena Trindade, age 78, passed away November 7, 2009. Widow of Antonio Pavao Trindade and daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Medeiros) Trindade. Born in Varzea Ginetes, Sao Miguel, Azores she lived in Fall River since 1994. She was a homemaker and a parishioner of Espirito Santo Church.
She is survived by 4 daughters: Maria I. DeMelo and her husband Luis of Fall River, Didia Aguiar and her husband Duarte of Fall River, Delores Reis and her husband Sergio of N. Dartmouth and Theresa Carvalho and her husband Jose of Fall River; 3 siblings: Adelino Trindade of Varzea, Albano Trindade of Ponta Delgada and Maria do Carmo Raposo of Relva; 9 grandchildren: Antonio L. DeMelo, Marcia Catarina, Sonia Medeiros, Alfredo P. DeMelo, Helena M. Melo, Christy Aguiar, Stacy Reis, Jason Carvalho and Nathan Carvalho; 8 great grandchildren: Brennan DeMelo, Andrew Catarina, Brianna DeMelo, Aaron Catarina, Abigal Medeiros, Olivia DeMelo, Luke Medeiros and Lucas DeMelo and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Alfredo Trindade.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Tuesday at 8:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Espirito Santo Church at 9:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 6-9 P.M.
