Jesup-Cecil W. Johnson, 76, passed away Friday, November 6, 2009 at his residence under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.
He was born in Glynn County and had lived in Jesup for 12 years. He was a retired foreman with Kut-Kwick of Brunswick and was a member of the Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church in Jesup. He was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline and a brother, John Paul.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Pauline Johnson of Jesup; one daughter, Kim Small of Jesup; one son, Stephen A. Johnson of Tyrone; two sisters, Geraldine Jeffcoat of Ocala, FL and Glenda Beavin of Jesup; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 9, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the James R. Gordon Memorial Chapel of Howard-Jones-Nobles Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 8, 2009 from 4-6 P.M. at the funeral home.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Jerry Mullis and the staff of Hospice of South Georgia.
