Catherine C. “Jenny” (Zavistoski) Occhialini 88, formerly of 39 First St. died Tuesday, Sept.2 in the Radius Healthcare Center.Her husband Silvio A. Occhialini died in 1984. She leaves two daughters, Ann M. Finne and Donna E. Calcagni; a beloved sister, Helen McLoughlin, all of Worcester; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and several nephews and nieces. A brother Stanley Zavistoski predeceased her. She was born in Jefferson, daughter of Stanley and Katherine (Ciak) Zavistoski. She worked for the former Iandoli Supermarket. She was a member of the 39ers Club and volunteered at 39 First St. She loved her family, her friends and her church and had a passion for cooking and knitting.
Funeral will be held Thursday, Sept 4. From FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME 9 Hammond St. with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Saint Charles Borromeo Church 341 June St. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Mausoleum. A calling hour will be held Thursday, Sept. 4 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Barton Center for Diabetes Education P.O.
