In Taunton, November 5, 2009 Shirley Ann Edmondson of Taunton, 74 years old, died Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Morton hospital surrounded by family, after a long illness. She is the daughter of the late Joseph Rapose and Florence Rapose (Liberty) of Ayer. Shirley grew up in Ayer and married the late Robert Edmondson of Attleboro then resided in Brockton for more than 40 years. She is survived by three devoted daughters, Cheryl Cain and her husband John of Taunton, Robin Moore and her late husband Richard of Norton and Joanna Edmondson of East Bridgewater. She also leaves three loving grandchildren Christopher Moore and Taylor and Alex Cain. She will be sorely missed by her three siblings Kenneth Rapose of Eastham, Juanita Krieser of Ayer, Joseph Rapose Jr. of Cleveland Ohio, and all their families. Shirley will be most remembered for her creativity and joy she took in crafting and sewing. She was a member of the Red Hats and enjoyed activities with her group. She took great pride in caring for her family and adored spending much of her time with them. Funeral from the O’Keefe –Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA. 02780 on Monday, Nov. 9th at 10am. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 11am. Visiting hours are on Sunday from 3-6pm. Interment in Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree on Friday, Nov. 13th at 11am.
