In Kansas City, Missouri, November 3, 2009 Sophie Knapinski died at the Pleasant Valley Manor after a short illness. Born and educated in Taunton, Sophie was the daughter of the late Michael and Katherine (Adamczyk) Knapinski. Sophie was formerly of Horton Street in Taunton then moved several years ago to Missouri live with her niece Melissa Panos. She was a retired attendant for Paul A. Dever State school in Taunton. Sophie loved to cook, knit, play cards, crossword puzzles and playing bingo. Sophie was the sister of Valerie Maujalis and her husband Francis of Mansfield, Florence Rubion of Arlington, Ma and the late Joseph and John Knapinski, Anna Narzachyk, Emily McManus and Stella Teunessen. Aunt of several Nieces and Nephews and great Nieces and Nephews. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Monday November 9th at 8 am. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church in Taunton at 9 am. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-4 pm. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
