BILLERICA - Pauline M. (Whiffen) Fletcher, age 75, a resident of Billerica for the past 31 years, died Friday morning, November 6, at her Billerica home surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Robert L. Fletcher who died April 2, 2004.
She was born in Chelsea, September 6, 1934 a daughter of the late Paul and Eva (Deveau) Whiffen, and raised in Dorchester.
Mrs. Fletcher was warmly described by her family as having "devoted her life to her family."
She is survived by ten children, Edward T. and wife Agnes (Smart) Fletcher of Plymouth, MA, Linda J. Fletcher of Tewksbury, Patricia A. and husband Rudolph "Rudy" Ogden of Nashua, NH, Donna M. Ellis and Greg Mirabile of Braintree, Cheryl A. and her husband Kevin McQuaid of Derry, NH, Robert L. Fletcher Jr. of Billerica, Sandra L. and her husband Robert MacIver of Wilmington, Jeanne M. and her husband Thomas Quintiliani of Tewksbury, Alan D. Fletcher and Michael Morales of Tewksbury, Steven M. and his wife Kelly (Moreira) of Wilmington; twenty two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; five brothers; one sister; and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral Mass was held Tuesday in St. Dorothy's Church, Wilmington. Her burial was in Tewksbury Cemetery.
