Atwell, Claudie, 78, native of Greensburg, passed away November 4, 2009 at Kindred Hospital.
He was a member of Victory General Baptist Church and worked for the Greyhound Bus Company for 33 years as a mechanic. Claudie was a member of Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and Chosen Friends #2.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years the former, Nancy Louise Smith; children, Lonnie D. Atwell (Karen), Karen E. Reid (Ken), David S. Atwell (Anita), and Darrell W. Atwell (Sharon); eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Maydean Curry and Sybil Webster.
Funeral service will be 1:30pm Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in St. Stephens Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday 1-8pm and after 10am Monday at the funeral home.
