Filomena (Ricci) Tiberi, died unexpectedly at her Malden home, Saturday. She was 69.
Born in Sulmona, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Domenico and the late Laura (Franciosa) Ricci. Filomena came to the United States in 1956. She lived in Portland, ME before settling in Boston’s North End and eventually in Malden. She worked as a seamstress with Serta Mattress and Mystic Bedding before her retirement. Filomena was dedicated to her large family and enjoyed the company of her many friends.
She was the beloved wife of the late Pasquale Tiberi. She was a loving daughter of the late Domenico and Laura Ricci and stepdaughter of the late Lucia Romangnoli. She was a devoted sister of Pasquale Ricci of Medford, Ida Gelsomini of Italy, the late Francesco Ricci and Maria Ricci. She was a dear sister-in-law of Anello Tiberi and Eva Tiberi. Filomena is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
