WORCESTER-Janice A. (Gillespie) Miller, 69, of 7 Wescott Street, died Monday, September 1st in the Jewish Healthcare Center after a long illness. Her husband of 39 years, Ernest A. Miller died in 1991. She leaves a son, Robert C. Miller of Holden; a daughter, Beverly J. Miller of Worcester; 2 brothers, Charles Gillespie of West Yarmouth and Paul J. Gillespie of Worcester; 3 sisters, Shirley Fenner of Worcester, Mary Wincer, wife of Charles of Millbury and Margaret Sciascia, wife of John of Auburn; 2 granddaughters, Amanda A. Brady of Leicester and Sharyn M. Miller of Leicester; several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Richard and Robert N. Gillespie.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of John J. and Anna E. (Lancisi) Gillespie and has lived here all of her life. Mrs. Miller was a warehouse supervisor at the Fair Department Store for many years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. Mrs. Miller did volunteer work at Fallon Community Health Care and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
The funeral will be held Thursday, September 4th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Wednesday, September 3rd from 6:00 until 9:00 PM in the funeral home.
