WORCESTER__Agoston Kovago, 88, of 545 Salisbury St., died Saturday Aug. 30 in UMASS – Memorial Medical Center, 55 Lake Ave., North.
He leaves his wife of 58 years, Magdalena (Susztar) Kovago; a son, Agoston Kovago, Jr., of Shrewsbury; a daughter, Marianne St. Pierre of Auburn; a grandson, Dr. Robert Lakatos of Mashpee and a great-grandson, Camron Lakatos. He was born in Kaposvar, Hungary, son of Istvan and Katalin Kodrik. He came to the United States in 1956 and has resided in Worcester for 40 years.
Mr. Kovago owned and operated The Artistic Flower Shop on Main St., for 32 years and retired several years ago. He was a former member of Our Lady of Loreto Church and the Hungarian Society of Massachusetts.
A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday Sept. 4 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Memorial Contributions may be made to Our Lady of Loreto Building Fund, 33 Massasoit Rd., Worcester, 01604. HENRY – DIRSA FUNERAL SERVICE, 33 Ward St., is directing funeral arrangements.
