Odum-Patricia Ann Gunn Nix, 73, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the Southeast Georgia Health System, Brunswick Campus.
She was born in Langdale County, Alabama and had lived in Odum for 23 years. She began working as a nurse before becoming a telephone operator. She returned to nursing where she worked in medical offices and nursing homes, eventually retiring from Jesup Manor (now Golden Living Center) in Jesup. She was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors are one daughter, Donna N. Anderson of Odum; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles L. Nix and Theresa of Valley, Alabama; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
Memorialization will be by cremation with no local services planned.
