Obituary

Mrs. Louise M. (Laratonda) Peters, 84 , of Methuen, Massachusetts passed away on Sunday, November 1st, 2009 at the Wingate at Andover in Andover, MA.

Louise was born February 1st, 1925 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to the late Michael and Antoinette (Mele) Laratonda.

She was educated in the local grammar schools of Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High School.
Mrs. Peters was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, where she was a Member of the Saint Rita's Sodality. Louise worked for many years as a Window Dresser for various Clothing Shops on Essex Street in Lawrence, Massachusetts.

Louise enjoyed Bingo, knitting and crocheting. Her special trademarks were making many afghans and several pair of slipper socks. She especially loved spending time and being involved with all of her grandchildren.

Her grandchildren: Sean Peters, Garrett Peters, Kristi Peters, Chad Peters, Josh Peters, Jonathan Peters, Briana Peters, Christian Peters, Lauren Sirois and Jason Sirois

Her Great Grandchildren: Madyson Dane and Jake Dane
As well as several nieces and nephews.

Her sister: Rose Messina of Andover, MA.

Her sister-in-law: Mae Laratonda of Haverhill, MA.

Sister of the late: Mary Bonenfant, Lena Laratonda, Carmela Tripoli, and Daniel Laratonda.

Louise's family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at the Wingate.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 5th, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church in Lawrence, MA.

Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
