Doug Thurber, 48, a lifelong resident of Manchester, died at his home on Oct. 30, 2009.
He was born May 9, 1961, to Allen and Elinor (Cheney) Thurber.
He graduated from Manchester Memorial High School in 1979. He was employed by Favorite Foods.
He enjoyed the outdoors and sports, but mostly his family and close friends. He will be remembered as a caring friend, a loving brother, son and a truly amazing father.
In addition to his parents of Manchester, family includes his daughter, Nicole Thurber of Manchester; a sister, Cindy Pratte of Manchester; three brothers, Scott of Manchester, Sgt. Maj. USMC William of San Diego and Steven of Framingham; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He will be extremely missed by the people he touched in his short time on earth.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St., Manchester. A graveside service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, 765 Brown Ave., Manchester.
