Carolyn E. (Houtman) Antunes, 56, of Dartmouth died October 31, 2009 at Crawford Nursing Home after a long illness. She was the wife of Kenneth Antunes.
Born in Acushnet, the daughter of the late Gloria S. (Campbell) Houtman and Charles C. Houtman, Jr., she was raised in New Bedford and lived in New Haven, CT before moving to Dartmouth in 1990.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Carol was formerly employed by St. Luke's Hospital for 25 years until her retirement.
She enjoyed dancing.
Her family would like to thank everyone at St. Luke's Hospital for their moral support during Carol's illness.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Frank Antunes of New Bedford; a daughter, Kai Antunes of Dartmouth; a brother, Charles Campbell of Providence; two sisters, Gloria Houtman and Edna Mae Houtman, both of New Bedford; an aunt, Dorothy Montague of New Bedford; an uncle, Walter Campbell of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Saturday, November 7th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 6th from 4-8 PM.
