WORCESTER
Agop A. “Jack” Kandoyan, 83, of Worcester died Saturday, October 31 at home.
He leaves his wife of 44 years, Jeanette (Naccachian) Kandoyan; two sons, Raffi A. Kandoyan of Worcester and Vrej A. Kandoyan of Woburn; a daughter, Anne C. Carney and her husband William of Oxford and five grandchildren, Gabriella, Arakel, Sarah, William and Allison. Two brothers and a sister predeceased him. He was born in Alexander, Syria son of Arakel and Anna Kandoyan and came to the United States in 1969.
Agop owned and operated the former Lynn Shoe Repair on Main Street in Worcester for 20 years, before retiring. He was a longtime member of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Trinity Church and valued his Armenian heritage.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, November 3 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM in the Armenian Apostolic Holy Trinity Church, 635 Grove St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Monday, November 2, from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. A Dahngark Service will be held during the Visiting Hours.
